It’s the best of both worlds giving you are able to experience the beauty of Mother Nature without having to forgo the amenities you are accustomed to. 1. Cuatro Cuatros - Luxury camping among picturesque vineyards

Return to nature and experience a one-of-a-kind stay at Cuatro Cuatros which is a 144-acre property that allows guests to relax in luxury tents. Designed by Mexican architects that truly understand the beauty of combining nature with luxury, the property has been developed and built by local workers. Each of the 19 tents is equipped with a king or queen bed, AC, heater, mini bar, chimney, and mini terrace.

To better connect with nature, all the tents (or cabanas as they call them) are elevated to better enjoy the amazing views from your private terrace. You can also experience mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, and zip-lining. Cuatro Cuatros also contains a holistic relaxation center on the back of the ranch for guests to get some R&R during their stay.

It’s a bit further than other hotels in the region, but still close to the wineries with a short 25-minute drive. However, there is no need to leave for food or wine tasting – they make their own wine and there’s a restaurant located on the property. Also, be sure to check out, Bar Bura, the very popular bar at the top of a hill where you can experience amazing views of the coastline at sunset.

2. Campera Hotel Burbuja - Sleep under the stars in a transparent bubble tent

Known in Valle de Guadalupe as the “bubble hotel,” Campera Hotel Burbuja is a centrally located accommodation that’s tucked in the middle of vineyards. The bubble tents allow you to experience the joy of sleeping under the stars in comfort. Designed in France, the tents are made with the highest grade materials to ensure a unique and cozy stay.

The 10 bubble tents at Campera Hotel Burbuja include a private bathroom, full-size bed, and luxurious amenities. Each bubble has different amenities depending on which tent you stay in. Although the bubbles are transparent, they have curtains that open and close as you wish. Privacy is maintained by hay-like walls separating each space and prevent your neighbors from seeing into your bubble tent.

There are lights in each bubble with color settings that you can program so that your tent is illuminated in a hue of your choice that’s visible from the outside. To make the rooms more comfortable, there is a pressurized air system linked to a generator that powers every two tents. The bubble tent’s climate system is totally customizable for ultimate comfort.

Drift off to dreamland while watching the stars in the night sky and wake up to the beautiful sunrise in this unique and memorable accommodation.

3. Lumi - Glamping with mountain views all around

If you’re looking for something different for your stay in Mexican wine country, you must stay at Lumi in Valle de Guadalupe. A combination of minimalist design fused with a cozy ranch oasis, you can choose between two types of accommodation, a tent (for glamping) or a recycled shipping containers. The boutique hotel is down a bumpy road off the beaten path and surrounded by an open space filled with beautiful wildflowers. There are goats and horses roaming around Lumi and the property definitely exudes the sustainable living philosophy.

The small containers do not feel cramped inside and the décor is simple, yet feels lush. There are three different types of cabins. A cabin for 2 includes a queen-size bed, a table for two, AC/heating, a bathroom, and a view of the valley from the shower and a roof terrace. The cabin for 2-4 people includes a bedroom with a king-size bed, a living room with a sofa bed, and a smart TV with Netflix. The family cabin features a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with a queen bed. There is a Finnish sauna, an outdoor Jacuzzi, and a small play area for children. All packages include weekend continental breakfast served in the room, robe and slippers, daily cleaning service, and use of sauna and Jacuzzi.

Lumi also offers six year-round glamping tents with a comfy queen-size bed. The tents are lighter on your wallet and provide a true experience in nature by allowing you to sleep in the middle of the property’s olive and lemon trees. Next to the tent area is a container that houses community showers and bathrooms.

Tip: There are baby-friendly packages and pet-friendly upgrades free of charge. There are a 24-hour reception and friendly staff to help you make your stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible.

4. Casa Misiones - Escape from the routine

Located in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe, in a 5-acre stretch sits Casa Misiones – one of the newer glamping spots in Valle de Guadalupe. Casa Misiones has breathtaking views of the mountains in the valley and features large boulders across the land.

Casa Misiones has incorporated indigenous landscaping, respecting the natural land and preserving all the plants indigenous to the region. You’ll find your self surrounded by rosemary, lavender, olives, mesquites and a wide array of local cactus. Since you’re in wine region, you’ll be able to explore the grounds and walk around the Nebbiolo vineyard.

The ‘tents’ are pretty spacious boasting many features such as king size beds, private indoor bathrooms, bath robes, AC & Heater, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and an outdoor deck with a chimney among other amenities that will surely make your stay one to forget you are in a tent!
