Perched on a gorgeous hilltop right in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe, sits La Villa del Valle. The eye-catching two-story hacienda was built back in 2002, yet it looks as if it was always there. Owned by Phil and Eileen Gregory, La Villa del Valle hotel is imbued with thoughtful touches that make it all seem like a home away from home for all of its guests. Things like springs of lavender on your pillow, mint-infused water by your bed and more.
La Villa del Valle hotel is small and intimate, yet big on character and amenities. It’s actually one of Mexico’s smallest hotels, but it’s loaded with lots of things to do and see. The inn features six romantic and beautiful rooms that feature plush beds (king, queen or extra long twin options) that you melt in the moment you lie down. All rooms are individually decorated in tasteful décor that gives you major design envy. The rooms also have their own designer bathroom for added convenience. Three of their rooms feature full balconies that allow you to sit outside and partake in the gorgeous scenic views. The balconies also feature traditional Mexican “chimeneas” that provide a cozy feel to your stay. Each room is supplied with luscious bath products made using pure organic essential oils that smell intoxicatingly wonderful.
When you arrive at La Villa de Valle hotel Valle de Guadalupe, you’ll be welcomed with delicious fresh fruit and scrumptious traditional Mexican cookies in your room to fuel you after your travels. In the morning, you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious full breakfast, including their own homemade granola, breakfast bread, and eggs from their chickens. Then, each night of your stay, you’ll get a complimentary glass of wine with “botana!”
La Villa del Valle hotel sits on 70 acres and includes its own winery, Vena Cava, and award-winning restaurant called Corazon de Tierra. The restaurant’s chef is Diego Hernandez and it’s been voted as one of Latin America’s Top 50 Restaurants three years in a row. The restaurant features a wine-to-table philosophy and offers guests a 6-course meal that features ingredients that are sourced locally.
The vineyard and tasting rooms are only a few hundred yards from your room and a place where you’ll find Gregory most days as he is always experimenting with grapes and land in order to provide his guests with a memorable stay and overall experience.

Everything about La Villa del Valle and the surrounding area was incredible. Such a hidden gem. Staying at La Villa del Valle, we didn't even need to leave the property (although we did force ourselves to!). It was gorgeous, clean, amazing staff, beautiful views, fantastic decor, DELICIOUS breakfast... I can't say enough good things about the property. It was truly magical and special. We haven't felt like that about anywhere in a while.

This is a remote, lovely, peaceful and quiet retreat WAYYYYY off the beaten path. If you don't have SUV or 4WD in winter during rainy season you will certainly be beyond stressed getting there through the huge pot holes and deep pools of water on the way. We almost turned back for fear of getting stuck. Once there, the staff was welcoming and accommodating...

We were hesitant to cross the border & explore the Guadalupe Valley.
What a beautiful surprise. We loved our 3 days. Diane was a great help & recommended incredible places to eat. Lovely, earthy wineyards. The ville is special. Comfy beds & linens. Delish breakfasts. Staff were extremely friendly - especially Daniel!!
We will be back. With friends. Will spread the word...

Can I give more stars please?!? This place was positively magical. There are only six rooms at this hotel, yet there are amenities for 50. This lovely hotel is perched on the top of a hill surrounded by natural flora as well as vineyards. This property includes Vena Cava winery, Corazon de Tierra restaurant, a lovely pool, and a yoga studio.
